Eligibility

Shyamantak Music Award is open to individuals of all ages who are pursuing or engaging in music and meet the program's connection-to-Nepal requirement.

Applicants must:

• Be of any age.

• Be a resident of Nepal, of Nepali origin, or have a meaningful and demonstrated connection to Nepali culture and traditions, and music.

• Be actively pursuing or engaging in music as a beginner, student, amateur, emerging musician, professional, or established musician.

• Work in any musical genre or tradition.

Performing Nepali music is not required. However, applicants should be able to describe their connection to Nepali music.

The award is intended to recognize and encourage musical accomplishment, creativity, dedication, inspiration, growth, and meaningful contributions to music. Formal musical education, professional experience, or previous recognition is not required.
